Interested in being a stage manager for an upcoming production? The SM is responsible for the distribution of the rehearsal schedule, contact list, and coordination of the lighting and sound for every show. The SM also works closely with the director to help actors learn their lines and is also responsible for the opening and closing of the theater on a nightly basis. Previous experience is preferred.
Help create new "worlds" on stage! You don't need any experience to be a Set Builder (we'll even teach you about carpentry and power tools, if you want)-- just a willingness to learn and have fun while we create the set for the next production.
How about helping out behind the scenes?
Come join the longest running community theater in Berkeley; you'll get to see the show for free, you'll get to hang out with cool people, and you'll get to see your magic happen onstage. No experience needed! We'll train you!
Ever wanted to see what goes on behind the scenes? And be a part of it?
Light Technicians have one of the most important jobs in theatre: making sure everyone can see. They also are responsible for setting the mood--by dimming the lights, turning on (and moving) the spotlight, making the audience sit in the dark (!) and more.
If you appreciate live theatre, we really need you!
