Actors Ensemble is the longest-running theatre organization in Berkeley, founded in 1957. This year we were proud to produce 2 wonderful productions at the John Hinkel Park Amphitheater, Cymbeline and The Taming of the Shrew, and partnered with Nate Presents to produce an innovative No Exit in the cozy confines of LaVal's Subterranean, We want to wish you Happy Holidays and thank you for a wonderful 2025!

Actors Ensemble is very proud of our acclaimed production of Death of a Salesman, which closes its run today in a sold-out final performance. This production would not be the success it is without the contributions of the entire cast and staff. With heavy hearts, we'd like to especially remember on this day the composer and performer of the beautiful, heartfelt original music for this production, Jeff Dunn, who also designed and recorded the various sound effects in cooperation with the cast. Jeff passed away suddenly and unexpectedly on November 21st.

Actors Ensemble of Berkeley is delighted to acknowledge the Berkeley Civic Arts Program and Civic Arts Commission's support in the form of a grant of $8,000.00 awarded in 2017. Also, a thank you to Theatre Bay Area for a grant of $2,500.00.
