Following up on our two productions in John Hinkel Park in Summer 2018, Hamlet, and The Complete Works of William Shakespeare, Abridged! (the latter of which opens August 18th and closes September 3rd), Actors Ensemble is proud to organize two unique staged readings, one of which explores the world of a pioneer in both architecture and feminism, and the other which explores issues contemporary to us today, but in the form of a fable.
Staged Readings are performed on stage with blocking, but with the script in hand (if necessary), minimal props and costumes, and no set. For An Afternoon with Julia there will be rehearsals in the chapel on Saturday and Sunday afternoons from 1:30 to 4:00 pm on September 22nd and 23rd, and a third rehearsal TBD. For A Fox Among the Hens there will likewise be 3 rehearsals TBD.
For the auditions you will read from sides we will provide. If you are new to theater, don't be intimidated - we will guide you through the process! If for some reason you cannot make the audition dates, do not hesitate to write to us - we may be able to make alternate arrangements.
