Repossessed, Opens July 31st, 2026
Repossessed by Greg Lam (a Bay Area Playwright), directed by Gabriel A. Ross. The story revolves around a couple that have utilized an advanced technology ("LIFE ENHANCED") to implant skills, knowledge, and memories into their brains. However, they also chose to forego the knowledge that they had done this. So, to them, their memories and knowledge seem genuine.
The main thrust of the action is when the couples' financial situation declines, they are unable to continue paying for the upkeep of their identities - so they are forced to have their skills and memories withdrawn!
The production plays July 31st - August 9th at La Val's Subterranean Theater, 1834 Euclid Ave, Berkeley, CA 94709, just north of the U.C. Berkeley campus and within walking distance of downtown Berkeley BART. Berkeley. Fridays at 8 p.m., Saturdays at 7:30pm, Sundays at 2:00pm. Rehearsals will also be at La Val's and begin sometime on or after the week of June 21st.
