"Hamlet at Hilltop" - Actors Ensemble announces an extension of "Hamlet" with two performances at The Shops at Hilltop.

Actors Ensemble continues our 61st season with William Shakespeare's greatest play, "Hamlet", presented two nights only at The Shops at Hilltop Mall, Richmond. This version of Hamlet is  an accessible and innovative 105-minute version emphasizing the ensemble.   Adapted and directed by Stanley Spenger, with over 40 years of experience acting in and directing Shakespeare.

Performed in 2 acts with an intermission (food available), adapted from a version first produced for the BBC, the role of Hamlet itself will be shared by all the cast members, at times singly, at times as part of a chorus, in a manner reminiscent of the acclaimed adaption of Sophocles' tragedy, "The Gospel at Colonus". Music and movement add to the drama in a first-of-its-kind performance within The Shops at Hilltop Mall, Richmond.

Presented free of charge (donations accepted, e.g. pay-what-you-Will), two nights only, Friday, July  27th and Saturday, July 28th, both at 8 pm.
