Do our eyes deceive us, or would you like to join our crew? Whether you’d like to act, direct, or volunteer, we’re happy you’re here. Join us for one production or for several seasons at a time — we welcome contributions of any kind.
Act
Actors Ensemble of Berkeley welcomes actors of all ages and backgrounds, and just as our shows change each season, so does our need for actors. Auditions are held a few months prior to a show and usually consist of short, prepared monologues and/or cold readings from the script. If you have a résumé and head shot, please bring it; if you don't, no problem—we'd still love to see you! Check Auditions to view current and past opportunities or Join our Auditions List.
Direct
If you’d like to be considered to direct a future show, please email us your directing résumé. If you have a particular play on your mind that you’d really love to direct, please be sure to mention it! We’ll be in touch.
Volunteer
If you want to help produce, direct, act, create sets, design costumes and props, design or run sound and lights, do make-up, help with lobby operations, publicity, marketing or recruitment... we have a spot for you! (Experience, of course, is welcomed—but certainly not required!)
