Actors Ensemble is the longest-running theatre organization in Berkeley, founded in 1957. This year we were proud to produce 2 wonderful productions at the John Hinkel Park Amphitheater, Cymbeline and The Taming of the Shrew, and partnered with Nate Presents to produce an innovative No Exit in the cozy confines of LaVal's Subterranean, We want to wish you Happy Holidays and thank you for a wonderful 2025!
We have ambitious plans for 2026, including two summer shows in John Hinkel Park, a return to Live Oak Theater in the Fall of 2026, and several staged readings and smaller productions, but we can only do it with your help! We are a volunteer-run community theatre company, dedicated to presenting innovative but accessible works with a community feel, and providing opportunities for people to engage or re-engage with the transformative art of theatre. Our shows in John Hinkel Park are presented free-of-charge (donations accepted) and our indoor shows have in recent years all been Pay-What-You-Will.
We can only do this with the financial assistance of the community Please consider contributing, either electronically via our Paypal or Venmo account @Actors_Ensemble (see also the website link below), or via check or money order mailed to our post-office box below. All your contributions go directly towards supporting the work on-stage, and since we are a 501(3)c organizations, all your contributions are tax-deductible.
