2016 is a wrap for Actors’ Ensemble
We started the year with a world premiere of Vicki Siegel and Evan Alparone’s new musical, “What Do Women Want: The Marriage of Sir Gawain,” which brought music, magic, and a tiny bit of mayhem to the Live Oak Stage once again.
From there it was just a short trot to John Hinkel Park for “The Marriage of Figaro” (no, not Mozart’s masterpiece — just the play that gave him the idea). We wrapped up with one more show in the park: “Twelfth Night”, with an original acoustic rock score by Jay Africa. That makes two stages, three sets of cast-and-crew, four weddings (at least) and a whole lot of hot dogs. Hopefully you enjoyed it as much as we did.
Couldn’t make it? Or just want to relive it? You can check out pictures in our photo gallery, view PDFs of the programs, or even watch a video recording of Twelfth Night.
Coming up next: 2017, and Actors Ensemble’s 60th anniversary! We’ll start up in January with a show at our old haunt, Live Oak Theater, and then move on over to the John Hinkel Park amphitheater for shows in July and August. Watch this space for more information — you won’t want to miss the chance to help us celebrate.
See you in 2017!
