Staged reading of The Emperor of the Moon - May 26, 2026
A staged reading of The Emperor of the Moon by Aphra Behn, adapted by Victoria Siegel and Erin Perry, and directed by Erin Perry. The performance will be on the evening of Tuesday, May 26th. Performances will be held at La Val’s Subterranean Theater, 1834 Euclid Ave, Berkeley, CA 94709, just north of the U.C. Berkeley campus, within walking distance of downtown Berkeley BART.
A summary of the play is available on wikipedia. The script is being adapted for length and clarity from the original, a flavor of the adaptation can be gleaned from the sides which will be provided to the actors who sign up for auditions. Seeking 8-9 actors.
