Ibsen combined realistic and symbolic themes to explore the title character, who has spent the last eight years in seclusion after having been found speculating with
depositors' money during his tenure as a manager for the national bank. He fights with his wife and her twin sister over the future of his son, and finally confronts his fate. It's an amazing play. When? Monday, January 22nd 8pm Where? Old Finnish Hall, 1819 10th Street, Berkeley, near San Pablo & University. Cost? Free.
